CRITERIA FOR THE AWARD OF A BURSARY/SCHOLARSHIP OR RESEARCH GRANT FROM THE ERROL BARROW MEMORIAL TRUST FUND
To qualify for an award, an applicant must:

- Reside in or be a citizen of the Caribbean Commonwealth, but special consideration will be given to applicants of Barbadian ancestry.
- Have maintained an overall B average or a minimum of 75 % in his/her last year or term of study at high school, community college, undergraduate or graduate level.
- Submit an interim or final official transcript of his/her last year or term of study.
- Submit proof of admission to an educational institution offering the programme of studies which he/she wishes to pursue.
- Provide a statement of 500-750 words outlining reasons for applying for the award and especially how it will assist in achieving his/her career goals and contributing to the Caribbean Commonwealth.
- Submit two letters of recommendation from persons who are familiar with his/her academic background or experience in the particular field and can attest to his/her chances of success.
- Demonstrate financial need( e.g. information about savings for studies, expected sources of income—loans, gifts, other awards).
- Be willing to attend an interview conducted by the Board or its representatives, if the Board deems it necessary.
